Tupperware New Consultant Kit

Today we’ll be doing a review of everything you will be receiving when you join Tupperware as a New Consultant.  If you are interested in learning more about joining Tupperware, we’ll be covering that in this post.

Each new consultant receives an apron and kit bag, which are only available with the purchase of a new consultant kit.  All of the Tupperware products you receive will fit inside the kit bag, making it easy to transport them to demonstrate at parties.

Measuring Spoons

Set of 6 spoons that nest together for compact storage.  Features a slight curve to the handle allowing each spoon to sit level on a counter top.  All measurements are etched into the handles so they won’t fade.

  • Includes 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, and 1 tsp.; plus 1/2 and 1 Tbsp
  • Color: Raindrop
  • Retails for $12.00

Why I Recommend This Item

I love these measuring spoons.  They sit flat, without tipping, on any level surface.  This is great for when I’m trying to pour out the last bits of spice from its container.  They’re also slim enough that the teaspoons will fit into most of my spice bottles, making measuring that much easier.  Also, the measurements are etched! I’ve had to throw away measuring spoons before because the measurements were painted/printed on and started to fade and smear after a few years. Not going to be a problem with these!

Measuring Cups

Set of 6 cups that nest together for compact storage.  Features a slight curve to the handle allowing the smaller spoons to sit level on a counter top.  All measurements are etched into the handles so they won’t fade.

  • Includes 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 3/4 and 1-cup capacities
  • Color: Salt Water Taffy
  • Retails for $15.00

Why I Recommend This Item

I love these measuring cups for pretty much the same reason I love the measuring spoons.  They sit flat without tipping over, so I can pour into them (which is nice if you’re pouring out of a bulky container). They’re etched so the measurements will never fade or smear.  The handles are pretty substantial too and are easy to grasp which is nice for when I have little hands trying to help.

Quick Shake® Container

Features a screw on lid with flip-top cap.  Use to prep protein shakes, mixes, marinades, and salad dressings.  Fit’s most drink holders so it’s perfect for on the go drinks.

  • Includes U.S. and metric measurements, 2½ cup/600 mL
  • Color: Berry Bliss/Raindrop
  • Retails for $16.00

Why I Recommend This Item

It’s great for mixing up homemade marinades, and it’s slim enough to fit in my fridge door.  This is great since I can mix up my sauces and marinades in the morning before my toddler is up, and have it ready to use when I’m prepping dinner later that evening.

FridgeSmart® Small Deep

Features a lid with integrated venting system.  Select your produce from the chart and push the vent to the corresponding position.  The chart is actually sealed within the plastic during the molding process, so it will never scratch off or fade.

  • 1¾ qt./1.8 L
  • Color: Margarita/Snow White
  • Retails for $18.00

Why I Recommend This Item

I have a tendency to crave grapes and eat about half of them in 2 days and then the rest get forgotten in the fridge…until I’m cleaning out the fridge and find a bag of mouldy grapes.  Not good.  But with this, my grapes stay good for 4 – 5 weeks. They literally look the same as the day I bought them.  So now when I forget about them, they’re still good when I rediscover them.  Which is nice.  I have about 6 FridgeSmarts in several different sizes, but this is (in my opinion) the best size.

Silicone Spatula

Stain resistant, large spatula featuring both a curved and sharp point edge on top to help scrape a variety of kitchen containers. The silicone top is removable from the handle for easy cleaning.

  • Heat resistant up to 400° F/200° C
  • Color: Berry Bliss
  • Retails for $19.00

Why I Recommend This Item

I have a love – hate relationship with spatulas. I love them because…well…they help me lick the bowl clean.  I hate them because sometimes they’re just too stiff to do any good. This spatula is one of my favorites. I have about 5 different spatulas in my kitchen right now, all different brands, and this is my go to spatula. It’s heat-resistant, so I can use it when I’m cooking low heat on the stove. It’s stiff enough that I can use it to stir brownie batter, but flexible enough that it will contour the bowl and get every last bit of batter.  The handle can be removed for cleaning, which is amazing because you really don’t want to see how nasty that space where the spatula meets the handle can get.  Check out your own spatulas some time, you’d be amazed what you see there even when you think it’s clean.

Microwave Breakfast Maker

The breakfast maker that is included with the new consultant kit do not include the two egg inserts as shown in the picture.

Great for cooking egg related breakfasts in roughly 1 minute, such as omelets, scrambled eggs, or french toast. Canned cinnamon rolls can also be made 3 at a time in under a minute.

  • Color: Rhubarb/Royal Amethyst
  • Retails for $20.00 (egg inserts not included)

Why I Recommend This Item

Your microwave may vary, but I can cook 2 eggs scrambled in a minute.  I can do a single serve home-made french toast (cube the bread so it will fit) in about a minute and a half.  If you add the egg inserts (they’re $9.00 for the set of 2) you can do sunny side up in 1 minute as well.  With omelets, add the veggies and a bit of water and cook for a minute, then add your scrambled egg and cook 1 additional minute. Simplest, fastest way to eat a healthy breakfast on a busy morning.

Modular Mates® Rectangular (size)2

Perfect storage for deep cabinets, ideal for storing snacks or baking supplies such as flour and sugar.  Seals virtually airtight to keep contents fresher longer.

  • Rectangular 2: 18 cups (4.3 L)
  • Color: Black
  • Retails for $21.00

Why I Recommend This Item

I love all the modular mates.  My pantry is filled with them in every size that’s offered.  What’s nice about the Rec 2, which is what you get in the new consultant kit, is that it’s a fairly versatile size.  You can fill it with any baking item like flour or sugar.  It’s deep enough that you can scoop out the contents with the measuring cups and not worry about spilling.  It fits the contents of most small snack bags (not the family/party sized bags of chips, but the normal ones).  Because of the virtually airtight seal, a lot of people will use this to hold emergency/first aid items in their home emergency kits.  Here is Florida, we (my family) have a hurricane cupboard that I have stacked with modular mates filled with various emergency items.

Can Opener

“No Cut” can opener unseals the lid so it can be lifted away with no sharp edges.  Features an easy lid removal gripper and an easy turn handle.

  • 1 year warranty
  • Color: Black/White
  • Retails for $35.00

Why I Recommend This Item

This is the one item in the kit that you will either love or hate.  If you’ve never used this type of can opener before, it can take a few tries to make it work.  The handle opens and then clamps onto the top of the can.  Most can openers, the handle faces the side of the can and it cuts the lid off.  With this can opener, the handle is directly over the lid and “un-glues” it.  Once you’ve completed you’ve completed a full pass around the lit, you release the can opener and then use its 2 littler pincer teeth in the end to clamp onto the lid and pull it off.  It sounds more complicated that it.  I like it because I don’t have to worry about cutting myself on the lid, or worry about my daughter getting cut if she decides to rummage through the recycle bin.

Tupperware® Impressions Classic Bowl Set

Set of 3 nesting bowls with seals, perfect for serving or meal prep. Each seal features a small raised ring for use as a pedestal (the ring keeps the bowl from slipping off), perfect for keeping your bowl and seal together when used at various functions.

  • 5-1/2-cup/1.2 L, 10-cup/2.5 L and 18-cup/4.2 L capacities
  • In Cool Aqua/Lupine/Radish
  • Retails for $35.00

Why I Recommend This Item

Who doesn’t love a good Tupperware bowl?  And this is a set of 3! And they stack and they nest and you can use them on the cupboard or in the fridge.  They’re really awesome bowls.  I really like that the nest inside of each other, which means easy storage and no hunting for the seals.  What’s really nice, is if you have a dish you want to keep cold  at a pot luck or where ever, you can put your food item in one of the 2 smaller bowls. Then fill the next size up with ice and kinda shimmy the food bowl down into it, and your food will stay nice and cold.  It’s great for doing this with summer potato and pasta salads.

Power Chef® System

This hand-powered food processor both chops and mixes. Includes a 3 curved blade for chopping and a paddle for mixing as well as a funnel attachment for adding liquids. The pull-cord makes it easy for people of all ages to operate.

  • 5¾-cup/1.35 L capacity
  • 1 year warranty
  • Color: Salt Water Taffy/Sugar
  • Retails for $69.00

Why I Recommend This Item

The Power Chef is one of those items that I would have looked at, but never actually purchased. Now, however, I use it all the time, so I’m glad it comes in the kit.  I use this when I need to dice vegetables, but I don’t feel like doing it by hand or dragging out my big heavy electric food processor.  I can quarter an onion, place it in the Power Chef, and have diced onion in less than 30 seconds.  I seriously love this thing.  I make home-made salsa in it, egg salad, I even use it to make meatballs.  I chop all the vegetables and mix all my ingredients in there and then pour it into the large Impression bowl to mix in the hamburger. It cleans up really easy too.  When you get this, all the pieces come wrapped separately and you’re going to see this thin blue rubber ring and wonder “what is this??” It snaps into the bottom of the container to give it a no-slip grip. Make sure this is on there before you begin chopping or you’ll be sliding around the counter a lot.

Saying Yes to Tupperware

New Consultant registration for Tupperware is $99.  If you were to purchase all of the Tupperware products that come in the kit individually, it would cost you $260.00.  If you add to that the additional kit items I listed, the total comes closer to $350.00.  This, to me, makes joining Tupperware an amazing deal.
