It’s month 3 of my IPSY Glam Bag subscription, and I’ve never used any of these products before.  I am liking the variety of what I’m getting, and I’m getting quite a few uses out of the trial sized products which is nice.

Pore Glow Mask

This menthol-infused clay mask instantly soothes redness, brightens skin, and tightens pores.  A blend of (super buzzy) skin-brightening, acne-fighting niacinamide combined with potent fruit extracts calm your skin and majorly up your glow.  Detoxifying kaolin degunks pores and absorbs excess sebum to help keep things balanced and clear.  This all-natural, plant-based mask is total vegan and free from harsh chemicals.

It has an antiseptic smell that I’m not loving.  It doesn’t really smell like menthol to me, it’s just an odd antiseptic cleaner smell.  It went on smoothly, it has the tiniest hint of grit to it, and did leave my skin feeling nice and clean and tight.  I don’t know if I would get more just based on the smell of it, but otherwise it’s a nice gentle mask.

560 Medium Fan Flawless Brush

A fan brush isn’t something we always think to reach for, but (trust us), once you add it to your brush kit, you’ll never look back.  The fluffy, fan-shape brush head effortlessly sweeps highlighting powders exactly where you want them with minimal fallout.  It’s 100 percent vegan and cruelty-free, so you won’t have any guilt giving this brush a permanent home in your makeup bag.

I don’t ever really use fan brushes, so I can’t say much about this one.  The bristles are soft and it appears very well constructed.

Mineral Lipstick in Envy

It’s infused with vitamins C and E to get your lips pillowy soft and protect them from damage with every swipe.  Natural waxes and mineral pigments help it glide onto your lips easily and make it super buildable  (so it lasts for hours).

This glides on so smoothly I was instantly impressed.  It stayed on through dinner, which was nice since most lipsticks I’ve used seem to disappear after eating a meal.  It’s somewhere in-between a gloss and a matte.  There’s no real shine to it like a gloss would give, but it has a glossier look than a matte in my opinion.  Would definitely buy again.

Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser

This 3-in-1 cleanser functions as a makeup eraser, daily face wash, and a deep clarifying mask too.  It’s a light, bouncy gel that builds into hydrating, micro-foaming bubbles that deeply cleanse without over-drying your skin.  It’s loaded with antioxidant-rich blueberry extract to protect skin and soothe inflammation.  A mix of gentle exfoliating acids get rid of dead skin cells for clearer skin and smaller pores.  This clean formula is free from parabens, mineral oil, sulfates, silicones, phthalates, and synthetic dyes.

I thought that having “blueberry” in the name would mean it smelled like blueberries…which is doesn’t really.  There’s really not much of a scent at all to it.  It’s a nice gentle cleanser, and does a nice job of removing my make up at the end of the day.  I have combination skin and a few hours later my face felt pretty even with no oily or dry spots.

Lash Next Door Mascara in Blackout

It majorly lengthens, separates, and defines your lashes in a few quick swipes.  This formula won’t smear, run, or smudge.

This was interesting. It definitly does not clump. It goes on very light, a few swipes and your lashes look very natural.  You know it’s on there, and you can see that your lashes stand out when compared to the other eye that you haven’t done yet…but it is definitly a light formula.  It’s buildable, but takes a bit to build it up.  I think this is perfect for those no-makeup looks, I’d also reccomend it for those teens who are just starting to get into wearing makeup.

These were my trial-sized add-ons for the month, $3 each and shipped for free with the rest of the contents of the IPSY Glam Bag.

Bubble Up Peeling Pad with Collagen

Enzyme powder gently exfoliates your skin to remove dead skin cells.  Clarifying witch hazel shrinks your pores and soothes signs of inflammation which can worsen in cold, winter weather.  It’s infused with a dose of protein-rich collagen to plump up skin and improve elasticity.

This was a very gentle cleanser.  If I didn’t actually see the suds I would have doubted I was using anything other than water.  Even the “scrubby” side was gentle, to the point I had to double check I was actually using the “scrubby” side of the pad.  I think this would be a great cleanser for those with sensitive skin and I would be totally fine with my daughter using this.  It’s probably the gentlest cleanser I’ve ever used in my life.

Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Original

This innovative formula goes through three phases when you apply—first it transforms from a balm to oil, then into a milky cleanser as it comes in contact with water.  Sensitive skin or allergies—this hypoallergenic formula is safe and effective for all skin types.  It’s made without any potentially harmful ingredients like parabens, sulfates, phthalates, mineral oil, alcohol, or artificial coloring.

It really does go from a balm to an oil to a milky cleanser.  It melts into your skin and then as you add water you can see it start working.  There’s no scent to it as far as I can tell.  It’s really unlike any cleanser I’ve ever used before.  My skin felt normal after using it. You know how some cleansers can make your face feel a little tight after using? Not this one, I just felt clean. I would definitely purchase this again.

Lip Revival Tinted Lip Balm in Debbie

You get the best of many worlds with this tinted lip balm: It’s got a gorgeous pink tint, delivers all-day hydration, and it’s created in collaboration with Brooke USA, whose mission is to improve the lives of working horses, donkeys, and mules all over the world.  Each of these shades was named after a Brooke USA ambassador and advocate. Debbie McDonald (whom this pretty pink shade is named for) is an Olympic Gold Medalist and World Cup Finalist, and she’s passionate about Brooke USA’s mission.  It’s packed with mega moisturizers like shea butter and macadamia nut oil to soothe and soften chapped lips.  It’s made with organic ingredients and it’s 100 percent vegan and cruelty-free.

Not a fan, which is sad because I love their whole mission.  It felt waxy and like I really had to press hard to get any color to tranfer to my lips.  I realize it’s a lip balm and not a lipstick or a gloss, but I’ve never tried a lip balm that felt quite like this.  I might try it again to see if maybe I just got one from a bad batch… maybe… but I can’t really reccomend it at this time.
